Unreliable folk !!

Hunt for chooks of certain breed.
Someone contacts and can fulfil my dreams.
Save all my pennies of hard earned cash.
Buy extra layers mash.
Emails back and forth all week.
But they avoid the question where we might meet.
Won't give me a phone number.
Not even a date.
Another hoaxer makes me wait for a shattered dream after two years wait......

Do I give up or do I wait
till he tells me where to and when
or do I tell him to shove his hens? ;(

Poetry apt for the event my friends.

Not feeling like a bard at this time of day, I would wait for him to contact you, then tell him you have been offered some better stock at a better price from a better person. Then be patient and keep looking and waiting. It is not the time of year that the bulk of poultry are sold and you will probably get some next Spring. In the meantime maybe have a few of a different breed to keep the interest going....e.g Brahmas ;) > These scammers must lead very sad lives to waste so much of their and everybody else's time.

Many of us will have been hasty and bought stock/eggs which were not what we wanted (dud eBay eggs e.g my NN eggs which has left me with one huge yellow Heinz57 cockerel when I wanted a black NN boy). Sometimes to wait is the best strategy. I have recently scouted around endlessly to find an appropriately impressive boy for my NN girls....nearly bought a pretty little bantam boy out of desperation (even though my girls are standard size). A few days ago I took another look at the largest bird to notice.....Well Mort, what fine thick legs you have......"All the better to run for treats with". Well Mort, what a fine comb and wattles you have there...."All the better to stand out in the crowd".... Well Mort, what fine pointy , shiny feathers you are growing on your back, BOY.....Yep, having e-mailed a pic. to a guy who knows NNs...Mort is Mortimer not Morticia!

This was a very long-winded way of saying, ditch the guy who promises what you want but cannot/will not deliver and wait until what you want AND what IS available shows up,

    Hi there
tomorrow pick up my gold Pheonix.
    3hrs journey worth the trip.
I pick up two beautiful pullets
even though it empties my wallet.
But next year I will reap the rewards
chicks to pull at the hearts chords
so I'm having a wine to celebrate tonight
for tomorrow it's the start of a dream in sight.

I do hope you get what you are looking for and can post some pic 's.

I know I love my chicks and know you will love your too.

Apparently the fella who was leading you on doesn't even have what you want but wants to tug at your heart. Some people find amusement in toiling with others.
