DAI (www.dai.com) works at the vanguard of international development, uniting technical excellence, consummate project management, and uncompromising customer service to solve our clients’ most complex problems. Since 1970, DAI has worked in 150 developing and transition countries, providing comprehensive development solutions in the areas of democratic governance and public sector management, agriculture and agribusiness, private sector development and financial services, economics and trade, HIV/AIDS, and avian influenza control.

DAI implements the USAID-funded project in Indonesia called Community-Based Avian Influenza Control (CBAIC). CBAIC works on the design and implementation of a technical assistance program for the Indonesian commercial poultry sector to help them better use their own resources to prevent and control HPAI and other poultry diseases. For the first two years the program covered all of Java, Bali, North Sumatera and Lampung, training volunteers in avian influenza (AI) prevention, response and control at the rate of one volunteer per desa. In third year, the program will focus intensively on districts considered to be of high risk in Banten and West Java provinces. These districts have been identified on the basis of the high ratio of commercial poultry to people.

DAI seeks a poultry veterinarian to assist in the provision of technical input to both the intensive community mobilization program and the commercial biosecurity consultancy services.
