Time to plant your chickens

Recent new posts have seemed so sad.....but I'd like to remind everybody that early autumn is the time to plant your chickens in the flower bed (or at least that is what some of mine think).

They definitely look happier on the top of the flower bed though Sandie ;) I have Hazel who may soon be headed that way. She has EYP  the usual problem, poor girl.

I love this pic! It's a very similar scene here too.

They seem to move out of the shady dust baths this time of year and into the sunny borders.

Generally, they prefer a light, sunny position and feet first rather than head first, Bonnie (well, usually anyway......some go head first).

There are holes almost a foot deep in the flower bed now.
